Germany

Although Germany is a relatively small wine-producing country by international standards, with 103,000 hectares of vineyards, its north-south expanse offers a variety of soils and climatic conditions that allow for a wide selection of grape varieties and wine styles. You can experience the full range of German wines and order them online from the Bremer Weinkolleg range.

France

In France, almost as much red wine is produced as white wine, and many of the international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc originate in France. The variety of excellent white wines ranges from the great Chardonnays of Burgundy to the finely mineral Sauvignon Blancs of the Loire and the fresh white wines of Bordeaux. Most French red wines are produced as cuvées: a science in itself with the aim of producing particularly high-quality and complex red wines.

Italy

The variety of wines produced in Italy is as great as the variety of wine-growing regions. Important grape varieties include Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Nebbiolo and Barbera. In addition, many original regional varieties are making a strong comeback, above all Primitivo from Apulia.
